My husband has a pair of Glass Ray Bans purchased at a mimicry PX in 1971-1972. After48 years they are still in great condition but have some fading on nose ridge. The RB logo is not visible. The arms both have 5 1/2 ORandolph, Eng, US- How can I authenticate these Ray Bans? DThomas5774@yahoo.com.
Hey Darlene! Please send a couple pictures of the frame along with the any numbers or letters on the inside temple to info@sportrx.com and an optician will review the information and get back to you with an answer. Thanks!

Based on the info you have provided, those seem to be authentic! Don't hesitate to give our friendly, knowledgeable opticians a call for any optical help you may need at (877) 289-2999!
I have an old Ray Ban Aviator of my uncle. I want to know weather it's original or fake, because it's approx 35 to 40 years old , and the coating has got rust, there is a letter on both the side of the glass BL by the side of the stick. Please let me know weather it's original or fake. Thank you
That's awesome! Without seeing them in person, it's tough to know for certain. My guess is that they are authentic because if they are that old, they were made by a different manufacturer. At that time, they were made by Bausch + Lomb. That checks out for the "BL" √ Take good care of them!
You absolutely can! I'd recommend jumping on a chat or giving one of our friendly opticians a call and they can give you all the feedback you could hope for! You can reach us at (877) 289-2999.
It's hard to know for certain, but they sound real from what you've said here! You can always reach out to our friendly, knowledgeable opticians at (877) 289-2999 for all the info you could hope for!
Are these fake or real. Seller is a bit fishy with reply. https://novi.kupujemprodajem.com/asesoari/muskarci-naocare-za-sunce/ray-ban-new-wayfarer/oglas/130336083
Hi I believe I purchased a fake pair of club masters, in order to get a refund ( it was an on line company) I have to get it verified by a authorized person qualified to do so … how would I get such a statement?
HI Kenneth! Sorry to hear that. That's odd that they require verification from an 'authorized person' outside their company. The burden of proof should fall on the vendors in this case. That said, you can send a few photos of the frames to info@sportrx.com and an optician will review the images and get back to you with an answer in no time. OR give us a call! 877.289.2999
Hello, I bought my wife Ray Ban model Erika 4171 865/13 3N, in optic store, but on the right arm it doesn't say "made in italy" but "Ray Ban TH CE UKCA". On left arm is everything as it should be. On the box it says Made in Thailand. Are they original? Thank you
Hello Mike! Based on your description, it does sound like they are authentic RayBans. Many parts and accessories for RayBan frames are produced and assembled in different parts of the world including Tailand, Italy, China, and the US. However, regardless of where they are manufactured, the quality and authenticity remains consistent for all of their products.
Hello! I just found a RB 3016 with the Word/logo "Ray-ban" on the nose pads. They from my dad's anniversary gift many years ago. Could you educate me. Thanks!
Hi Gustavo! For authentic RayBan models with adjustable nose pads (such as the Aviator and Clubmaster), the nose pads should show a small metal inlay with "RB" on them. Fakes will likely screw up the placement or use lower-quality nose pads and etchings. Hope this helps!
Ray Ban glasses can also be from France, not Italy and China only. Mine are 35 years old and look almost brank new. I just pulled them out yesterday for the first time in about 19 years,
RayBan did at one time produce their frames and lenses in France back when they were owned by Bausch & Lomb. However, since the brands purchase by Luxottica, the majority of their products are manufactured and assembled in Italy and China.
Hi! I have 2 pairs of RayBans - 3471 and 3211, bought from a very reputable retailer (although authorised - I'm not sure of...) I've had them for around 10-15 years and never worn either so was thinking of selling but although I'm quite convinced they're genuine as everything seems to be where it's meant to be there's just one thing amiss. Neither have the fainter RB logo next to the arm, which I'm led to believe they must have to be genuine. What do you think?
Hi! Are you referring to the stamped logo on the upper right corner of the right lens? It's possible that RB was not stamping the lens on those particular models at that time, but if you send a few pictures to info@sportrx.com a licensed optician will review and confirm their authenticity.
Hi! I have 2 pairs of RayBans - 3471 and 3211 - that I purchased from a very reputable retailer (although I'm not sure if they're authorised...) I bought them (at a guess) around 10-12 years ago but have never worn either and was thinking of selling them. Now, I'm 99% convinced they are genuine as everything seems to be where and how it should be - apart from one thing... neither pair has the fainter RB logo next to the arm, which I'm led to believe should be there if they are genuine. What do you think?

Hey Marie! They seem authentic, though the sizing seems a bit off (61D16-136) from what their website shows. Send a few pictures to info@sportrx.com and a licensed optician will review the images and confirm their authenticity.
I just purchased two pairs of Ray-Bans. I already have a similar model of one of those and there are differences in the lenses. The rose gold flash lens of one pair purchased from an eye-glass store is brown on the inside, while the same lens from an online seller is really dark, almost a black-green. It also changes the color of things when looking through making everything appear - well - dark with a green hue. This seems really odd and I can't really find a whole lot about different interior lens colors. Any help is appreciated!
Hey Michelle! Ray-Ban offers many different lens configurations that create a specific visual outlook. There are ways to identify whether the frame/lens you have is authentic, but for this example, the best way to determine is to see the lenses side by side. If you're able to take a couple photos and send them to info@sportrx.com a licensed optician will review the images and get back to you with an answer regarding their authenticity. Hope to hear from you!
Of course Kylee! Send a few images of the frames, including the numbers on the inside temple, to info@sportrx.com and an optician will review the pics and get back to you with confirmation of their authenticity. Thanks!
Thanks for the information.
