Hello. My wife just bought me some Oakleys for my birthday. They ate the009264-2757 mainlink, and i just have a question: on the lens is etched prizm p, are these prescription? Thank u,gerry (Great videos by the way)
Hi Gerry! Thanks for reaching out! The 'PRIZM P' stands for 'prizm polarized'. This means you have a lens that is prizm but it is also polarized for maximum glare reduction.
Hey guys I got a pair of Oakley's from a buddy there white an black on one hinge it says flak the other hinge says 26-202 an they do have made in the USA I wanna know if there real or knock offs could you fellas be able to help me identify this please an possibly the exact cost of this pair of real an if there fake not so much worried with the Price thanks for the potential help gentleman
Hey Brandon! Those sound like authentic Oakley Flaks to me and the pricing depends on what type of vision you require (single vision vs multifocal) as well as what lens type you need for your intended sport or activity. If you don't require prescription, then hop on sportrx.com and enter Flak 2.0 xl in the search bar. When you're on the page for the flak you'll notice that most frames have different prices due to the fact that the plano or non prescription lens that come in each pair are designed for specific sports and activities. For more information give us a call to speak to one of our licensed opticians who can help get you into the right pair for your individual needs! (877) 289-2999
Hi i just bought one RADAR EV online and There is no model number on the glasses. It only says radarev on the frame. Also it is made in CAMBODIA . Pls tell me if it is real or fake. Thanks a lot
Trying to find out if my Oakley's are fake or real there black/white an say made in the USA 26-202 on one hinge an flak on the other hinge could I guys help me with This and possible price if real please thanks in advance
Hi Brandon, It looks like you have an old pair of Flak Jackets. The 26-202 manufacturers code checks out for that model and colorway so there is a good chance they are real.
Only missing the "USA MADE" is not a huge red flag. If you want to know with more certainty, you can always reach out to our opticians, but you're probably in good order with them!
my brother in law gave me a pair of turbine as a gift. but it has no box. only a unit and pouch.. it has a correct SKU no. and very defined material. but the red logo of "USA assembled" is missing.. i think it pulled out.. i would like to know if it's common or it's foakley?? thanks in advance.
Honestly, they are probably legit. It's tough to know for certain without pictures, but with the info you've given, I would bet that they are real. Enjoy them and feel free to reach out to our opticians for any/all questions you may have!
Can anyone help me making sure are these real or fake oakley holbrook I can not find them on line and it has a signature of Julian Wilson 009102-11 55 18 thank you
Hi Milos! The product numbers that you provided certainly confirm that these are true Oakley frames BUT if you take a few pictures of your frames from various angles and one that includes the information on the inside arm, and send them to info@sportrx.com, one of our licensed opticians will get back to you in no time with confirmation of their authenticity.
Hi, I ordered replacement lenses for Flak Jacket XLJ, from Amazon, they came in an Oakley box, and it says Black Iridium Polar on the box (which is what I wanted), but the lenses do NOT have the word Polarized etched on them, are these Authentic?, Three years ago I ordered exact same lenses from Oakley directly they had Polarized etched on them.
That is odd. We are used to seeing 'POLARIZED' etched on Oakley lenses. It's possible that they may be authentic but not polarized. It's hard to know for sure without having them in hand. We can help you determine if they are polarized or not! Check out our video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD_8tSK7OZ8 Hopefully, that will help solve this conundrum!
I have a pair of Oakly Holbrook glasses with id# 009102-J955 57o18 137 and HOLBROOK etched on the left temple (arm). On the right temple it has "ce" embossed and a red insert at the end of arm. They are a wood grain finish. Are these authentic and if so what size lense insert should I get. Thank you.
It's tough to know for sure while not having them in hand, but it sounds like they're authentic. You have the standard size with the 57 eyesize. I'm not sure what you mean by a lens insert size because that frame doesn't have what we call 'inserts'. Are you looking for prescription lenses? If so, you can reach out to our friendly, knowledgeable opticians at (877) 289-2999!
I received a pair of the gascan sunglasses with the polarized etched on the lenses but it came with a sticker on the lenses that had a P and a RX with a check mark next to them. However these are not prescription glasses that were ordered, neither are they prescription when i tried them on. Is this a normal sticker to have to just show you can make then prescription? Or are these lenses supposed to be prescription? Thank you
Hello, I have received a pair of pit boss Oakley sunglasses recently… And I went to check online for authenticity. But could not find a match, It doesn’t have a SKU# it just has a number that reads A-2057, and USA designed. I called an oakley store and they said that they no longer carry these, we discontinued them… But I still want to know if they are fake or real…
Hey James! Please send a couple pictures of the frame along with the any numbers or letters on the inside temple to info@sportrx.com and an optician will review the information and get back to you with an answer. Thanks!
Hi Andy! The name and/or sku is usually located on the inside temples and can sometimes look like a raised imprint but if you're not seeing any indication of model or type then they may in fact be fake.
Can anyone help me making sure are these real or fake oakley holbrook I can not find them on line and it has a signature of Julian Wilson 009244 56 17 138 missing the last 2 numbers after the dash specify the colorway (frame and lens combination). thank you!
Hello Agnes! Those sound like authentic Oakleys to me. The number indeed corresponds to his (Julian's) signature Holbrook design that is since discontinued, but you can still find a few of that particular model online. You can also take a few photos of the frames and send them to info@sportrx.com for further verification.
I was at a pawn shop looking at sunglasses over the weekend and they had a pair of used Turbine Rotors priced a little high for used . When I told him how much my authentic pair on my head I had paid he asked if he could see them a minute and he stuck a magnet to the red made in USA part on the arm and told me mine where fake because the magnet didn't stick . He said all Oakley's if authentic will stick when a magnet is put to them . I insured him I had bought them at authentic Oakley store and he insisted I either got burned or wasn't telling the truth of where I purchased Any insight on this or knowledge of this fact ?? Ty
Hey Mr. B! We don't have much experience with this type of authentic verification. After a bit of research, it does seem that some models will have a bit of pull when placed next to a magnet, but i don't think this applies to every Oakley frame type. If the frame was purchased from a licensed Oakley retailer or one of their proprietary storefronts, then it's safe to assume they're the real deal. If you would like a second opinion, send some photos over to info@sportrx.com and a licensed optician will review the images and determine whether they are indeed authentic. Hope this helps!
Im trying to find out if these aviators are real. Im leaning toward them being fake because for one, there is the word "China" etched into the inside of one of the arms, right above the ear. Then on one arm, at the very end that sits on top of the ear, it has the word "Coreal" etched into it. And then the other ear part, says "Oakley" in script. The lenses are the purple(violet) ones which im pretty sure are supposed to be polarized, but there is nothing in the lenses that prove this. The frame is a silver platinum color. These are the OO4054-02 model, which is etched into the inner arm, for women, by the way.
Hey Tonya! Those sound like legitimate Oakleys. Many of their lenses are non-polarized to accommodate different sporting environments. While designed in California, some of their frames are produced in China as well as other countries. I think the 'Coreal' you're seeing might say 'Caveat', which is the name of the frame based on the model number OO4054-02. If you're still skeptical, send a few photos of your frames to info@sportrx.com and we'll assess and confirm their authenticity. Thanks!
Not a question lol, I'm just highly impressed someone is still answering questions here after 5 years. Also I'm just getting into Oakleys and after reading this article I'm paranoid and have got to go check the three pair I currently have. Thanks for the informative article but not the paranoia lol.
I found a pair of Oakley sunglasses and want to authenticate them. They are what I believe are 1999 vintage, moss green half jacket. It says jacket on inside of one temple and made in USA on other side.
Hey Linda! They sound like legitimate authentic Oakleys, but send a few pics to info@sportrx.com and a licensed optician will have a look and confirm. Thanks!
Thanks a lot
thank you

thank you!
